Beach Reserve

Highlights at day break, the Spoonbill now into its third day was still on the new saltmarsh area and was joined by two Great White Egrets (not pictured, a third GW Egret was on Long pit). A flock of 22 Ruff were amongst 300 Lapwings at Ternery Pool and three Kingfishers were out from Denny Hide. Good numbers of Goldfinches passed overhead along with smaller flocks of Siskins and Redpolls heading east over Shore Ridges, a Merlin showed well perched along the fence near Wader Pool.
