Rye Harbour

Bird higlights over the last few days have included up to four goldeneye and four black-necked grebe on Long Pit (with an additional bird on Ternery Pool), great white egret, five black-tailed godwit, seven ruff, buzzard and marsh harrier at Castle Water, a flock of seven fieldfare on Castle Farm and up to 3,000 roosting golden plover (when not frosty), small numbers of knot and 15 pintail on Flat Beach.
