From the Clifftop

After  a couple of windswept weeks in the West Country, back to the clfftop, which had been equally battered. But a nice day yesterday, with a calm sea and  at least 40 Red Throated Divers and 70 Great Crested Grebes on show , the latter of some note this winter, I didn't see any at all until 3 just before  going away on 27th. Otherwise, over the last couple of days, a Porpoise, odd Kittiwakes and Brents, and only modest numbers of auks despite the huge recent movement off Dungeness. Blowing a gale again !
