Pett Level

Great conditions for a look at the sea as it was flat calm. There was a steady movement of Red-throated Diver with 46 flying westwards in half an hour. Also 2 Black-throated Diver, 4 Razorbill and a Guillemot all sat on the sea and a number of other unidentified auks flying westwards near the horizon. Both Gannet and Fulmar were also present. The sea also held 50 Common and 8 Velvet Scoter and 400+ Great Crested Grebe.

The wintering White-fronted Geese flock had increased to 25 which were all sat on the pools with 147 Greylag and 40 Canada Geese. Behind the pools was a Great White Egret and in the far distance there were two Cattle Egret.

The female Goosander was still present and there were ten Ruff mixed in with the feeding Curlew. Two Raven were quite vocal.
